Conception

Embarking on a new project, however big or small, can be a daunting prospect. How do you project manage it, set out your requirements and deliverables, how do you bring the team together, and it goes on and on. Embrionic believe that when thinking about starting a new project it is of paramount importance that there should be clear business reasoning and benefit behind the decision no matter the size of the endeavour. A robust business case and requirements need to be clearly defined before moving forward. Embrionic can help you define and assess these important criteria and assist you in the embryonic stage of your project.

Partnering with a company that you can trust, who has the knowledge and the proven credentials is seen as a major step in helping you achieve your aims. Embrionic has the pedigree which has earned us the respect in the industry and which is why we are one of the few external providers of expertise to Microsoft Consulting Services.

Our Management team can help you move the project from conception forward they have the expertise and the resources to hand to help you in any way you require.

Initiation

When it comes to starting a new project you need to define the structures that will deliver a successful and effective outcome. It is important at this stage of the project lifecycle that the correct foundations are laid that will ensure the success that every project wants. The project board and project team need to be aware and completely clear on the fundamental reasoning behind the project. Embrionic are experienced in helping achieve these goals. At this stage there are a few key questions that need to have been answered:

  • Why is the project needed?

  • What is it intending to achieve?

  • How is it to be achieved?

  • Who is responsible for what?

There needs to be a genuine commitment from all parties involved in the project. The cause for many projects not meeting the success that they could have usually stems from these structures not being clearly and concisely addressed at this stage of the project. A project initiation document (PID) is normally produced and signed off at this time. This document has two primary uses:

  • To ensure the project has a sound basis before any further commitment to the project is taken

  • To act as a base document against which the Project Board and Management can assess progress, change management issues and ongoing viability questions

Should you require assistance then call our Management team to see how we can help you.
